- LiveCast demonstrates 2-way video streaming on Nokia N900 in Nokia’s booth at CES. LiveCast's "Duetto" is a new breakthrough application combining video conferencing and live video streaming that will be available on all supported LiveCast platforms.
- LiveCast enabled a GRAMMY first – live video streaming from cell phones. LiveCast was selected to provide live video streaming for the GRAMMY Live! Web coverage consisting of 24 hours of behind the scenes interviews, celebrity rehearsals and after parties. Never before has the GRAMMY organization used cell phones as a part of their Web coverage mix.
February 2010
- NBC joins other major broadcasters such as Newscorp, signing an organization-wide LiveCast enterprise license agreement for mobile reporting. As the official broadcaster for the 2010 Olympic Games, LiveCast welcomed NBC’s news team to our headquarters in Vancouver, BC.
April 2010
- LiveCast announced its partnership with Sony to bring end-to-end metadata workflow and live video delivery platform to broadcasters. Sony showcases LiveCast’s “HeavyMeta” system at NAB,
- Verizon demonstrates LiveCast’s 4G live mobile video solutions at NAB. Among the ground-breaking 4G solutions that were demonstrated, included: LiveCast Duo, LiveCast SDI, and LiveCast ProPack.
June 2010
- LiveCast wins ‘Best 4G WIMAX Enterprise Solution” award by judges from Intel, Sprint, Clear, Cisco, and Comcast at the Stanford 4G Conference. LiveCast's presentation to the audience and judging panel included live streaming from the HTC EVO 4G mobile phone with less than 1 second latency. The demonstrated showcased LiveCast Dispatch solution for monitoring and switching many live feeds from the field, and featured integration with metadata, GPS, and biometrics.
August 2010
- Verizon Wireless and LiveCast introduced simplified billing for LiveCast’s live mobile video solution sold by Verizon sales teams to enterprise customers. LiveCast was invited into the exclusive 3rd party vendor program whereby LiveCast service fees will be processed by Verizon and included in the monthly Verizon Wireless bill.
