Verizon Showcases LiveCast’s Live Mobile Video Solutions for LTE at NAB

Demonstration of Company’s Flagship Low Latency Solutions, and Mobile Broadcasting Backpack System with Remote Control

Las Vegas, NV. – April 12, 2010 – LiveCast today announced it is demonstrating its industry-leading live mobile video solutions in Verizon’s booth at the 2010 NAB Show. The company is unveiling next generation 4G solutions, which will power the global roll-out of advanced IMS based LTE services.

Among the ground-breaking LTE solutions that LiveCast representatives will demonstrate from Verizon’s booth (#SL3309) are:

· Mobile Live Broadcasting with Low Latency and SDI Playout – LiveCast will showcase live video streaming from mobile phones and netbooks in the field, featuring two-way live communications, viewing on computers and phones, and LiveCast’s low latency viewing and SDI playout system. LiveCast SDI also allows for real-time monitoring of many mobile streams in the field simultaneously, switching to master output feed, tracking of live streams on a map, live chat, photo snapshots, much more

· Mobile Live Broadcasting BackPack System – LiveCast’s new ProPack live mobile broadcast system for 4G will also be demonstrated at the booth. An integrated component to the LiveCast platform, it enables professional, near HD-quality live video streaming from a light-weight, extended battery-powered wireless backpack unit. The system gives individual journalists the ability to cover breaking news and live events where deploying traditional broadcast technologies might be impossible or too costly. LiveCast ProPack is uniquely remote controlled using a mobile phone to eliminating the disruptive “opening and closing” of the backpack to start and stop system, verify streaming, monitor battery usage and to modify settings.

Although any laptop may be used, the ProPack was specifically designed to advantage the enhanced battery life and low-power consumption that is provided by Intel Atom powered netbooks. Additionally, for netbooks that come bundled with Nvidia ION graphics units, enhanced hardware-based video encoding is enabled; providing substantially lower power consumption and concurrently enabling real-time near HD video encoding

All the new solutions unveiled at NAB also support Sony XMPilot metadata workflow.

The NAB Show is the world’s largest electronic media show attended by more than 85,000 audio, video and film content professionals. The event spotlights filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums.
